I had a great MOJO workshop class today with my new student Karen. She and I worked on this image from scratch, which I feel is the best way to really understand the creative process. We picked an image from my archive that looked promising and then went to work combining 3 different images, twisting, distorting and working with multiple textures, until we came up with this image which we rather liked. We only had about an hour to work on this, but we covered several of the most important techniques. While teaching these workshops I will follow the Pareto's Principal of 80/20, which dictates that 80% of the results in any endeavor come from 20% of the input, material, or effort. We are starting to discover that 20%.
