In 1971-1972, I was invited by Sir Hubert Bennett to be visiting fine artist to the Arts Design Group of
the Greater London Council. My work principally was directed toward the integration of art and environment.
I designed, painted and directed a number of projects during this visiting year, which included the following.

1.  300' mural for winfield Primary School, London, involving the children aged 5 to9, directly in the execution of the project.

2.  21' x 8' relief mural for Southwark College, which is an important educational institution in South London.

3. The design of a variety of innovative children's play sculptures.

My position required me to be Fine Arts Consultant to the architects and planners who were engaged in environmental design. In keeping with the policy of the Fine Arts Design Group, a portion of my weekly time was spent in seminars and discussions with artist and critics of the major art institutes in London, such as Chelsea Art School and Royal College of Art. While a member of the Dover Street Arts club, I developed a close personal relationship with Pierre is Jeaneret, the distinguished art critic of the London Times, which helped me immensely in understanding the contemporary London art scene.

Personal Statement

My work is and has alway been an extension of my personal life. Life for art - art for life.
